Mission
The Highland Area Partnership is an arts and culture nonprofit organization that is dedicated to cultivating and connecting our community through music, food, and the arts. The purpose of this festival is to give the community access to the arts through jazz and blues music, hands-on art activities, and a variety of vendors. Over the years, the Highland Jazz and Blues Festival has brought an ever-growing number of people to Columbia Park in the heart of Shreveport, Louisiana, to appreciate the talents of local, regional and national musicians, artists, artisans/crafts persons, and culinary artists. The unique culture of the surrounding Highland neighborhood and the day of festivities itself has made the Highland Jazz and Blues Festival a favorite event of the community and beyond. The festival is free to attend for the community.
