Outgrown is dedicated to bridging the baby nature gap by ensuring that families have access to, support for, and opportunities to incorporate nature into their daily lives, starting from birth. We take an intergenerational approach, recognizing that when caregivers feel supported and confident outdoors, children grow up with nature as a natural part of life.
Programs

In 2024 bring it outside successfully engaged communities by providing training outdoor events and culturally inclusive resources. Across oregon bio connected over 650 families with nature outdoor activities and workshops. In curry county 200 families participated in 12 hike events with support from 2 facilitators while in coos county bio partnered with 10 local organizations hosted 24 hikes and organized 2 large family festivals. Portland saw 150 families join supported by 3 facilitators and 8 community partners highlighting bio s commitment to strengthening community ties and accessibility to nature.
In 2024 hike it baby transitioned to outgrown rebranding to better represent our growing diverse community of outdoor enthusiasts. This transformation included launching a new digital platform to enhance community engagement adding 5000 new members and fostering a dedicated space for families to connect. The rebrand reflects our broader mission of welcoming families from all backgrounds into an inclusive and accessible community of nature lovers where our community digital space and resources are always free.
