Historic Milwaukee Inc

Spaces & traces took place in may 2024 and celebrated mid-century modern houses to mark hmi's 50th anniversary. More than 900 attendees visited 8 properties around metro milwaukee and learned about features like cantilevers, ribbon windows and unique interior finishes.

The 14th annual doors open welcomed thousands of visitors to explore milwaukee's neighborhoods on sept. 28-29, 2024. With 132 locations open to tour in-person, there was no shortage of architectural and cultural gems to explore during one of milwaukee's favorite annual celebrations. Top sites visited included milwaukee city hall, the saint kate- the arts hotel, milwaukee arts museum, federal building and us courthouse and the we energies public service building. Historic milwaukee worked with community partners to develop these new app tours. The tours are available to download for free in the historic milwaukee app.
