Gardens and Horticulture - In 2024, HOF's gardens teams continued to expand how much of the Cemetery was under the Foundation's control through expanded work on the East Hill as well as increased activity restoring and maintaining private lots. With increased maintenance activity the Foundation actively maintains almost 18 acres of the Cemetery.

Programming and Education - With the expansion of illumine, Sunday in the Park, Capturing the Spirit of Oakland, and Dia de Muertos - the Foundation's signature special events had a strong year welcoming tens of thousands of visitors of all ages to the Cemetery. Additionally, the Foundation expanded the workforce development program for local high school students, called The Youth Landscape & Hardscape Team, giving the students practical employment and skill training at Oakland over the summer months.
