Hsumd prints and mails over 223 newsletters 12 times per year and emails over 220 copies containing information on upcoming hsumd lectures and events as well as articles on local history. We publish books on local history. We maintain a website of events, activities, and other historical information.

Adding and maintaining our archives and collections and preparing exibits on local history. The exhibits are in our historic uso building, our veterans memorial buiding, and the california welcome center in ridgecrest. As we host numerous community events, as well as fundraising and other events, these exhibits are seen by both local visitors as well as out of sttae visitors providing local history and education to all.
