To continue the survival of the captain timothy hill house, the oldest house on chincoteague island, as a historic house museum and to continue to welcome the public to the house and the property so that they might have the opportunity to see a rare piece of architechural history. It's also a rare chance to stand in the history of the common man and woman who were not to the manor born, and try to imagine how these early ancestors lived and survived. When we understand the past, it gives us a better perspective on our own lives today.
