Rebuild coalition for "keep lahaina home" five homes are currently under contract, supported by 1.7 million in grant and in-kind contributions covering 75% of the total 2.29 million cost. With a goal of building up to 15 volunteer-constructed mds homes per year, construction contract review services are also being provided for 30 families. Guided by the vision to build homes until the need is met or resources are exhausted, the effort emphasizes post rebuild affordability as a key outcome for survivor families. To support long-term housing stability and financial well-being, the goal is to keep monthly housing payments below 33% of household income.

Volunteer coordination survivors benefit from an estimated 150,000 in labor savings per home through the work of dedicated volunteer rebuild teams. These teams are housed, scheduled, and supported by hoola coordination staff to ensure smooth operations and meaningful engagement. The effort is grounded in a survivor-centered approach that prioritizes respect, resiliency, empowerment, hope, and healing throughout the rebuilding process.
