The organization's exempt purpose is to support the general welfare of amateur ice hockey communities in the united states and canada through the promotion of sportsmanship, coaching, and civic responsibility with the primary purpose of providing financial support to those in the community who are afflicted with life-threatening diseases or who have endured tragedy.
