The home connectivity alliance is a nonprofit corporation formed for the following purposes: (i) to facilitate technical collaboration of its members in order to explore the different solutions allowing interoperability between connected product features through a secure and private environment in furtherance of fostering holistic smart home experiences for consumers; (ii) to promote through its work product the work of the corporation; (iii) to define through reference documents and work product a clear strategy for enabling members interoperability and interactivity by establishing open guiding principles for interoperability, access, and platform infrastructure to drive seamless interconnection across the smart home product landscape with an emphasis on fostering an open and balanced environment for participation by all interested consumer electronics related entities; (iv) to provide secure, consistent, and frictionless smart home experiences for consumers and manufacturers of inte
