Mission

To provide hope, opportunity, and support that empowers women and children as they journey from homelessness to self-sufficiency.

Programs

2 programs

Affordable Housing Program The Organization has an affordable housing program for low to moderate income families who were homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless. These housing units are for women and their children who have an annual income between 30 to 50 percent of the Area Median Income, offering a safe, comfortable place to live.

Expenses: $363K

Subsidized Apartment Program SAP This program provides a vital bridge between the Transitional Shelter and community housing. Some clients are ready to move into community living but require extra time to build resources needed for independent living. SAP offers five units of subsidized housing for clients who have a job but cannot afford to pay Affordable Housing Program rent. While in SAP, clients continue to receive all the services offered in the Shelter program. SAP clients generally stay in the program for a year before moving into the Organizations Affordable Housing Program or into other housing within the community. Rapid Rehousing Program The Organization manages short-term to medium-term rental assistance for families who have met the HUD definition of homelessness and have employment but have experienced a life-event that put them into financial jeopardy. These families are ready to bypass transitional shelter services and enter directly into an apartment. Families are assisted into community housing within 30 days of acceptance into this program.
