Mission
To advance wildlife conservation by conducting high-quality research, educating aspiring biologists, and engaging local communities. In the face of vast environmental and social changes, we are committed to wildlife conservation grounded in rigorous field-based science and long-term connection to our landscape. We aim to build a diverse and inclusive community of people that are equipped to tackle our most pressing wildlife conservation challenges.

TRAINING PROGRAMS:Field Skills Training Program: In 2024, we trained over 45 aspiring biologists across four courses, with participants from across North America including Alaska, Oklahoma, and Montreal. Thanks to partnerships with Queer Nature and Re:wild, we provided scholarships and subsidized fees for 12 participants from LGBTQ+ and Indigenous communities.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH & EDUCATION:Community Engagement: We reached wider audiences through 4 podcast features, 5 news stories, several public talks, and an episode of PBS Human Elements. Additionally, we collaborated with local experts, including photographers and biologists, to showcase the value of community-driven conservation.Youth Programs: We continued the Wildlife Cub Club at Methow Valley Elementary, sparking curiosity in future biologists and strengthening connections between young people and their natural environment.New Partnerships: We formed partnerships with organizations like Swan Valley Connections, the Bush School, and Indigenous tribes across Washington State, strengthening both our research and education initiatives.
