Mission
The mission of Homes With Hope is to care for abused and neglected children by placing at risk children identified by the state into licensed and trained foster families. The organization also assists those families desiring adoption.
Programs
2 programs
Training program: Assists families who want to foster and/or adopt children who were abused and/or neglected and are currently in the custody of the child welfare system. This is accomplished by providing individualized orientations and an intensive pre-service training program. Families continuing with the licensing process received additional training provided by qualified professionals. Continuing education was provided quarterly for licensed parents. 10 families completed the pre-service training program, and 19 families received continuing education.
Continuing Education and Development program: Homes with Hope is committed to raise awareness and education about the needs of children who have been abused, abandoned or neglected. Reaching out to many area churches and leaders, we advocate for children in foster care as well as recruit new foster and adoptive families, holding information and orientation meetings. Through this network of relationships we encourage the development of a community committed to provide support for our families and the children they care for.
