Mission

To recognize the bravery, determination and patriotism of america's senior veterans with an all-expense paid, one-of-a-kind journey to washington dc for a day of honor, thanks and inspiration. Since formation, the organization has flown 11,318 veterans.

Programs

2 programs

Complimentary to the honor flight, operation locate a hero (olah) finds senior veterans in their communities to honor their service. Orginally conceived to recruit veterans to fly on the honor flight, olah has evolved during the covid-19 pandemic into community-based public displays of gratitude in addition to recruiting veterans to fly.

Expenses: $69K

Veteran alumni are connected to local schools to both be honored by the students and to serve as living history resources, inspiring students to learn about the service and sacrifice of our veteran. A committee of volunteer educators leads this program's efforts.
