Mission
The purpose Hood River Soaring is to advance the science and art of motorless flight: to study and research the scientific techniques of soaring in the meteorological conditions of Hood River valley and surrounding environs and to make its findings available to the public; to educate students pilots youth organizations and the public about motorless flight; to provide and or make available to its members the flying facilities and equipment for motorless flight on a non-profit basis; and to encourage promote for training of its members including special outreach programs for youth introducing them to the knowledge skill and practices of motorless flight.
