Education program expense: During 2024, we were able to provide teaching and learning materials including stationery and textbooks to 51 community and camp-based schools with 1350 students in rural Chin State where government funded schools stopped functioning after military coup in February 2021. We were also able to provide monthly stipends to 253 community teachers who were teaching at these schools without regular support from the communities. We were also able to organize teachers' education training at three different locations for these teachers.

Expenses: $165K

Healthcare program expense: In rural Chin State where there were no medical facilities after Myanmar's military coup, we supported one mini hospital with one doctor and 2 nurses and another seven clinics with 2 nurses each, treating and giving referrals to villagers throughout the year. We also supported 11 midwifes at different locations to take care of pregnant women and PHS to vaccinate over 1500 children. We also supported the doctor and nurses to respond to GE outbreak at one location, treating those who were infected and giving health education to others. We organized two first aid training sessions with 20 participants each. We were able to support volunteer mobile medical teams with three medical doctors, and 11 nurses to provide more than 25,000 check-ups and medical helps for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and local people at remote places in Chin State, Myanmar where there were no medical facilities. We made referral to those needing further medical health to Falam hospital (until it was closed in October due to heavy fighting between Chin resistance forces and Myanmar military), clinics and hospitals in Kalay in Sagaing region in Myanmar and hospitals in Mizoram State, India. In Aizawl, Mizoram, we rented an apartment throughout the year for the patients to stay during their medical treatments. We also supported volunteers and contractors to look after these patients and to transport them to hospitals for their appointments.
