Hopewell Center Inc

Hopewell Center operates 3 group homes for 20 residents. This type of residential setting is a congregate living situation with each home housing between 4 to 8 adults who have comparable support needs. The goal of group home living is to provide continuous active treatment in a 24/7 supervised setting while promoting independence commensurate with the individual's ability. Staff also support the individual to engage in desired activities and interests.

The Day Services Program provides structured activities that foster social engagement and educational opportunities for adults with disabilities in a supportive environment. Emphasizing community integration, the program is designed to help individuals enhance their independence and achieve personal goals while ensuring a safe and positive setting. Services are offered both within the facility and in diverse community locations. The program operates approximately 252 days per year and serves 115 individuals in FY24.

The goal of Hopewell Center's Early Intervention Program is to provide individualized support and therapy services for families and their children that are exhibiting developmental delays. The program curriculum is designed to encourage children to make gains in all developmental areas. Individuals must meet eligibility criteria to qualify for these First Steps Early Intervention services: between the ages of birth to 36 months of age and demonstrate a developmental delay or be considered "at risk" for developing such a delay. Children may receive Physical, Occupational, Speech or Developmental Therapies. Once eligibility has been determined, sessions may occur in the families' homes, childcare center or other community settings. During FY24, our Early Intervention Program served 382 children and their families.

The Community Employment Services program supported 129 individuals in FY24 with career exploration, job placement, and sustained community employment. The program connects motivated job seekers with employers by aligning individuals' skills and interests with suitable opportunities. After securing employment, ongoing retention services are available to ensure long-term success in the workplace.
