Horizon Education Network

Horizon completed revisions in 9 existing courses (6 English, 2 Spanish, 1 Portuguese) and is currently revising 11 additional courses (6 English, 2 Portuguese, 2 Spanish, and 1 Ukrainian). Three new courses were developed and translated for use in Mongolia and Ukraine. Horizon invested hundreds of hours in the development of OpenSIS, an open-source student information system that fully integrates with Moodle. Beta-testing the software with two partners in the Philippines and Peru began in 2024. These program services were accomplished largely through volunteer services by missionaries seconded and paid from other nonprofit mission organizations. The estimated value of these services in 2024 was 114,568.
