Publications hfa produces various publications for the benefit of hospice professionals, caregivers, volunteers, patients, and their families. These publications include a monthly newsletter journeys a newsletter to help in bereavement and an annual book that each year examines a new, relevant topic related to end of life care.

Special programs hfa is currently working on several projects funded by other entities. The project talk trial is a national institutes of health-funded research project awarded to penn state university psu college of medicine hfa is the sub-awardee through psu. The project seeks to test the efficacy of several advance care planning tools in underserved populations. A second project is autismandgrief.org, a website for autistic adults who have experienced loss and grief, their families, care providers, and professionals.
