Member services, meetings and workshops: hcpa is a trusted business partner to approximately 250 member companies seeking to collaborate with stakeholders on issues critical to the future of formulated products. The association is organized around seven business divisions representing product sectors and each of those divisions has committees and task groups dedicated to specific issues. There are over 75 different committees and task groups, each managed by a hcpa staff executive. These groups meet in person at two annual major associations meetings, at numerous workshops, and at educational events. Services to hcpa members include legislative, regulatory and scientific initiatives.
Legal and regulatory affairs services: the hcpa legal and regulatory affairs department monitors regulatory issues affecting formulated consumer products in seven business sectors. Staff regulatory experts work with government to monitor regulations, provide input and gather information. They engage association member companies at workshops, on conference calls, and at two major meetings of the membership to solicit their feedback on regulatory and legal priorities. The department routinely provides comments to regulatory agencies on proposed regulations.
