Assisting individuals with histories of mental illnesses to obtain and retain affordable housing.

Peer service programs provide assistance to individuals diagnosed with mental illness by providing resources and support to enhance daily living skills such as budgeting, shopping, and navigating a new community, and skills to address individual access to and engagement in individualized mental health treatment services. Services and support that assist individuals in meeting self-identified needs, thus accessing opportunities that lead to the most independent lifestyles of their choosing.
Self-help and peer advovacy programs develop a variety of self-help support services. Through education and advocacy, individuals are empowers to learn and take advantage of the choices and opportunities available to them in their lives and community.
