To assist people with low or moderate income to obtain safe and affordable housing
Programs

Homeless prevention homless prevention assists individuals and families to keep their current housing or helps move them from unsatisfactory housing.
Supportive housing program provides rental subsidy for the chronically homeless who have a disability.
Homeless assistance program helps families who are in shelters or have been evicted relocate off the street and into housing.
Project for assistance in transition from homelessness (path) program helps meet the needs of individuals and families that are transitioning from homelessness into another home.
Home counseling program provides education and counseling for home buyers, including one-on-one homebuyer education to clients who are working with a mshda approved lender to finalize the purchase of their home using a mshda mortgage product. This program also includes foreclosure prevention counseling for those facing a foreclosure or tax foreclosure. Provides advocacy with mortgage companies to come up with options for those who have fallen behince on payments, including short sales and loan modifications.
Continuum of care planning grant helps meet the planning needs of agencies who assist individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
