The spay/neuter center provides surgical spay/neuter procedures primarily for the pets of lower income families in north georgia and for the animals available for adoption at our facility. During the years ended june 30, 2024 and 2023, we performed 3,757 and 524 spay/neuter surgeries, respectively.

Expenses: $701K

The healthy pet clinic, also referred to as the wellness clinic, provides low-cost animal vaccinations, preventative medicines, and basic pet testing for canines and felines. Approximately 25,000 vaccinations/preventatives/tests are provided each year, primarily to the pets of lower income families throughout north georgia.

Expenses: $677K

Community outreach community outreach includes access to veterinary care for low-income families in hall county. This includes free, quarterly vaccine clinics, door to door outreach and education. Approximately 1,200 pets annually receive free vaccines and microchips. Volunteer services given that we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a small staff, we rely heavily on volunteers. During the year ended june 30, 2024, we had 263 volunteers donate 29,100 hours of service giving hands-on care to animals, raising much-needed funds, educating the community, assisting in the healthy pet clinic, providing administrative and facility support, and more. Our volunteers report experiencing a deep sense of satisfaction from improving the lives of rescued animals while working alongside others who share the desire to build a better future for all animals in northeast georgia.
