I care outreach, inc. Was founded in 2004 to identify and address the urgent needs of low-income, disadvantaged and at risk individuals and families within the brigeport, connecticut area and surrounding local communities. The organization's mission is to help this population become self-sufficient and self supporting; while enhancing their quality of life and standard of living. Located 60 miles from manhattan and just 40 miles from the bronx, modern bridgeport is considered part of the new york metropolitan area. It is home to almost 152,000 people, making it the largest and most densely populated city in connecticut. It is also the poorest city in the state and one of the poorest cities in the nation, despite being located in one of the wealthiest countiesfairfield. Bridgeport connecticut has faced numerous economic challenges, including high income inequality, a history of deindustrialization, high poverty rates, and unemployment, despite being in a wealthy region.
