I dare to care association mission: to provide educational vocational and therapeutic resources for girls and their families assisting them in overcoming lifes obstacles that impede upon success: learning to recognize the power of their voices and the value of their lives.
Programs
2 programs
Provide trauma informed workshops for middle school youth experiencing behavior problems and chronic absenteeism. Twenty youth are selected by school administrators to participate in our social-emotional programming weekly. These youth are at risk of dropping out of school due to poor academic performance as well as behavior problems that disrupts classroom activities.
Provide stem training to 10 girls 13 to 18 years of age to address the lack of digital access and involvement in technology by teaching stem concepts. The id2c i-code program provides participants with secure internet access demystifies the functions of technology and opens opportunities for highly marketable skills that can lead to technology careers and education
