Icca foundation's mission is fostering the peaceful resolution of international disputes through arbitration, conciliation and other forms of international dispute resolution.

Icca research and outreach projects -during 2024, icca's project work was as follows:- the working group on african arbitral practice (which seeks to increase coordination and cooperation among african arbitral initiatives in the areas of access to resources, education and training, and the provision of technical assistance) collaborated with the african arbitration association in the preparations (including the programme) for its fifth annual conference, which took place in october 2024 in douala; the working group also commenced work on the creation of a historical database of african dispute resolution- the icca-university of tsinghua working group on chinese arbitral practice provided arbitration-related court decisions from chinese courts for publication in the icca yearbook commercial arbitration;- the icca panel of experts to develop a paris agreement conciliation annex, which convenes a high-level panel of experts, developed and focused on the promotion of a proposed draft conciliation annex for the paris climate agreement and the united nations framework convention on climate change, with a view to facilitating its adoption by member states;- icca held new york convention roadshows (colloquia for national court judges on the application of the 1958 new york convention) in riyadh (march 2024), tagaytay (2 may 2024), vung tau and qui nhon (october 2024).

Young icca -during 2024, icca's branch for young practitioners, young icca, held 17 in-person seminars and 2 webinars, involving approximately 50 - 100 attendees per event (i.e., total approximately 950 - 1900 attendees). The young icca mentoring programme mentored approximately 216 young arbitration practitioners.
