Idaho Basecamp

5th grade idaho basecamps sahm 5th grade program, now in its seventh year, offers a three-day, two-night immersive outdoor experience for 5th-grade students from public schools in six idaho counties. Held at our big lost campus, the program is designed to help students develop a strong connection with the outdoors and learn valuable life skills to help improve their mental, physical, and social-emotional health. Our carefully crafted curriculum blends hands-on science inquiry, adventure based learning, and environmental stewardship. Students will learn how to communicate, trust, and feel safe with their peers. They develop a new sense of accomplishment as they work through fears and become more personally responsible for their actions.

Explorers dedicated to closing the opportunity gap for youth in the wood river valley, idaho basecamp has partnered with far + wise, a local academic enrichment organization, to offer a one-of-a-kind outdoor enrichment experience. Each week, students in grades 2-5 participate in the explorers program, which combines outdoor education with engaging, hands-on activities. This program teaches students about local wildlife, plants, and safe outdoor adventures while developing a deeper understanding of environmental stewardship and conservation. The program also incorporates art, play, and activities designed to promote developmental growth, teamwork, and respect for themselves, others, and the natural world.

Outdoor hispanic leaders idaho basecamps outdoor hispanic leaders (ohl) program is dedicated to developing leadership skills through outdoor education for hispanic middle school students in blaine county, idaho. Ohl guides a cohort of 26, 6th-8th grade hispanic students through a culturally targeted outdoor curriculum that fosters positive youth development by equipping students with essential social and emotional skills such as personal responsibility, courage, respect, communication, and leadership. Through these experiences, our goal is to equip participants with a strong sense of self, enabling them to navigate the transition to high school and beyond with confidence. Sprouts a waldorf-inspired creative learning experience for children ages 4.5 - 6 years old. Idaho basecamps sprouts kinderschool is a warm and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow through exploration and intentional play. Free from outside distractions, the children are fully engaged with the world around them. We believe that all children are unique individuals with their own strengths and interests, and we tailor our curriculum to meet each child's needs.
