Imagination Fort Worth

Imagination Texas: A special weekend for the deaf and hard of hearing: Initiated in 1990, this unique program brings deaf and hard-of-hearing students and their teachers and support staff from 10 schools to Fort Worth to experience 8 hours of performances, workshops, and events by visual and performing artists who are deaf and have achieved major recognition for their talent in both the deaf and hearing world. THis program connects social-emotional learning through the arts for students who rarely receive such experiences. Lan Everybody Grows Friday Enrichment Program: This program is for grade levels 3rd-5th. During this program, 12 teaching artists, offering 7 different art forms serve 4 elementary school campuses providing 1-hour workshops. Art forms include puppetry, ballet, cultural dance, musical theatre, drama, glass art, mural painting, and sel arts. Students interact and engage with professional teaching artists who help students find the joy of creativity while also working on social-emotional skills. At the end of the six weeks (736 hours,) students participate in a culminating arts event. Served 3,000 students; content areas: art and sel.

This intensive two-week summary program encompasses realist drawing and painting techniques with an emphasis on direct observation. During this program, Imagination Fort Worth, SID Richardson Foundation, and R4 Foundation team up with Texas Academy of Figurative Art to work one-on-one with twelve high school artists nuturing stident confidence and artistic skill-sets. Accepted applicants receive professional instruction, visiting artist lectures, professional art supplies, social and emotional opportunities, and more.
