Youth Anger Management Services (YAMS) The program helps young individuals recognize, understand, & manage their anger & emotional responses in healthy, constructive ways. Through a combination of group therapy sessions, individual counseling, & skill-building exercises, youth participants gain tools to navigate conflict, reduce impulsive behavior, & improve communication. YAMS is led by experienced facilitators, including CAMF (Certified Anger Management Facilitators), CDVF (Certified Domestic Violence Facilitators), & CEIC (Certified Emotional Intelligence Coaches). As part of the program, participants complete the EQ-i:YV (Emotional Quotient Inventory: Youth Version) both before & after participation. This validated assessment measures key areas of emotional intelligence, such as impulse control, stress management, & interpersonal skills. The results help tailor individualized support & track each participants emotional growth over time.

Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) During the COVID-19 pandemic, our organization proudly supported the California Emergency Rental Assistance Program (CA ERAP) to help stabilize households throughout Imperial County. This vital program was designed to prevent eviction and homelessness for residents who faced job loss, reduced income, or other hardships caused by the global pandemic. Through ERAP, we helped administer funding that provided rental assistance and housing stability vouchers to individuals and families in need. As a result, approximately 35% of households in Imperial County received support, ensuring that vulnerable community members could remain safely housed during one of the most challenging periods in recent history.

California Workplace Outreach Project (CWOP). During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Center played a critical role in protecting Imperial Countys workforce through the California Workplace Outreach Project (CWOP). Through this initiative, the Center provided COVID-19 education, prevention guidance, and essential resource information to approximately 55% of all workers in Imperial County. Our efforts focused on increasing awareness of workplace health and safety protections, including labor laws related to hazard prevention, reporting rights, and access to support services. The Center conducted extensive outreach to both workers and employers in sectors with elevated exposure risks, ensuring they had the tools and knowledge needed to prevent workplace transmission. Outreach activities prioritized farmworkers and agricultural packing facilities, but also reached employees in food service, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, and janitorial industries.
