Eric and ginny are very busy selling sak saum products at local markets in florida and colorado, we are so blessed by the volunteers that have helped us this year with sales and setup, they are real hard workers and love to help. We did however have a few setbacks this year, eric came down with a debilitating arthristis in june and was not diagnosed until early september what he was battling, eric was not able to work for those months due to the pain and discomfort. Florida was a different story. As many have heard florida was devastated with not 1 but to cat 5 hurricanes, both hitting the area where sak saum sells at the beach markets during nov. -may. Many lost everything, homes and vehicles, all they owned, the bay area is still reeling from the trama and devastation left by the hurricanes. All to say we are also needing to change coarse our beach markets are not open and some say will not be opening this year. We have been traveling to central florida for events and markets for sales. This is all new territories for us and we are feeling it all out.sak saum in cambodia is moving forward with some designs and strategic methods in sewing and color grading and purchasing fabrics.jessica and dane went to cambodia in december to help with logistics and design as well as human development and look for different ways to help with different shipping options. Our skills development is moving forward also. Sak saum educational outreachsak saum sees the importance of education and learning and helps meet the needs of students of the community that need assistance. This past year sak saum supported children of all different ages with school supplies, including books, pencils, markers, crayons, notebook paper, backpacks and uniforms, and shoes.
