Advocacy and programs to maximize the independence of people with disabilities
Programs

Independent living services - information and referral services for persons with disabilities to access community resources and to provide both individual and systems advocacy services and education related to civil rights laws affecting persons with disabilites. The organization also provides training on independent living skills such as cooking and budgeting, as well as providing peer support, which includes matching and training persons with disabilities to counsel others with disabilities and facilitating support groups. The organization also strives to deinstitutionalize their patrons by assisting the individuals to move out of nursing homes and live independently within their communities.
Case management, advocacy, and education services - counselors provide case management to navigate the employment process and help ensure success in employment through navigating state program guidlines, procedures, and options; assist with budgeting and other independent living needs; and identify and access supports and training as needed to maintain independence in the community.
Transportation services - provide transporation services for the general public through 6 lift-equipped vehicles, providing as many as 900 rides per month.
