The volunteers of the independent fire company of kensico station, new york provides emergency rescue and disaster management assistance to residents of valhalla, new york. The company also conducts important fire prevention education programs at schools and senior centers, and performs numerous community services to the residents of the town of mount pleasant, new york.under an agreement with the valhalla fire district, the company houses and maintains fire and rescue equipment in its fire house in valhalla, ny. The company provides ongoing certified fire and emergency medical technician training as required by new york state regulations. Members of the company review compliance with ny state, westchester county and town of mount pleasant fire code regulations in terms of schools, corporate and residential properties.monthly meetings of the board of the fire company are held at its fire house. All volunteers are invited to attend with board minuets maintained by the company's.
