Residential programs - icf ighl's icf programs are designed to accommodate the needs of developmentally disabled adults in a "barrier-free" setting. In specially constructed homes for non-ambulatory individuals, every feature is designed to provide maximum mobility and safety. Designed to meet strict federal guidelines, these homes are unique structures for people with unique challenges. Through an interdisciplinary team process, each person's needs are carefully assessed and an individual plan is developed to support their needs. The goal of each residential program is to encourage growth toward living more independent lives, while providing a genuine sense of belonging and, most importantly, to nurture each individuals physical, psychological and emotional growth. Ighl staff, including direct care, recreational specialists and management staff, are specially trained to provide support in the areas of activities of daily living and independent living skills. Clinical and nursing staff provide site-specific training and support for direct care and management staff.
Day habilitation ighl's day habilitation program services are delivered at one of our numerous day habilitation centers. Based on the individual's skills and interests, such services provide instruction in independent living, socialization, adaptive skills and development of manual and perceptual motor skills. Training areas include mobility training, appropriate social behaviors, communication skills, basic safety skills, housekeeping, personal/health care, and money management with an emphasis on community inclusion. In each of ighl's day habilitation programs, participants are encouraged to develop autonomy and self-sufficiency, establish relationships with people other than service providers, make a positive contribution to society, benefit from services without segregation and choose where to live, work and recreate memorialized in an individualized service plan.
Family support grants to provide a variety of community activities designed to offer socialization and integration in the community, as well as physical fitness and education. These community based activities will integrate disabled and non-disabled consumers. Other program other program related services consist of supplying food, maintenance, household supplies, medical support, and it support. Other program related services support the daily living needs of the individuals in our care in the residential facilities.
