0Ilma hosted its 6th international metalworking fluids conference was held in january 2024. The conference explored a range of metalworking fluid (mwf) issues and addressed challenges faced by raw material suppliers, manufacturers and end users. Topics included sustainability in production and use, regulations, new evaluation techniques, additive challenges, working with the dwindling number of biocides, best practices, remote monitoring, and the impact of electric vehicles on mwf demand.
0Meeting management:ilma's meetings have become known as the best place to learn about trends in the lubricants industry, reconnect with old colleagues and meet new associates.when planning the programs for both the ilma engage and annual meeting, ilma keeps you and your business in mind for what will be presented at the sessions and how attendees can reach out to customers during the day and evening. Two meetings are held each year to provide educational and networking opportunities for the industry: ilma engage and ilma" s annual meeting.ilma engage, a new approach to the spring meeting launched in 2019, occurs over three days typically in april. The kickoff of the meeting is committee day, with networking options during the day, an obvious and excellent way for members to engage with each other to discuss the industry issues of the day. With this fresh meeting experience, ilma offers excellent speakers, a "town hall" lunch session that gives updates on important industry issues, as well as ilma conversations that engage the speakers and audience in a more relaxed, informal setting. And, as always, plenty of opportunities to network.ilma's annual meeting, typically held each october, is four days of committee and technical sessions, with networking opportunities and social/sporting events. In 2023, ilma celebrated it's 75th year anniversary which was part of the annual meeting.
