Mission

Support and capacity building for navajo nation reservation families towards wellness and self-fulfillment, in order to reach fully informed economic, social and health security solutions

Programs

Toohnii binaneest'a' altaas' alliance, inc. (toohbaa) - we took care of logistics and accounting for shiprock farmers and helped them obtain a new fiscal sponsor for future funds. Our role in supporting toohbaa formally ended in september, 2024 after four years.

Expenses: $20K

Din nihi keyah project (dnkp) https://dinelanduse.org/ - we continue to virtually teach law and indigenous governance students, map land-related inter-jurisdictional services, resources, policies and regulations relevant to community small land users on the navajo nation, and lay the foundation for indigenous traditional knowledge solutions. In 2024, our student researchers and their faculty supervisors at pace university were instrumental in preparing a lengthy law review article on the traditional familial unit, and the local governance needs and challenges of present-day navajo nation reservation families and communities.

Expenses: $97K

Northern din relief effort (ndcvre) https://ndcvre.org/ -- after four years of providing personnel and logistics supports for ndcvre distribution activities included distribution of wood, school supplies, lankets, pumpkins, turkeys and groceries through drive up and doorstep deliveries across the shiprock navajo agency, during and immediately following covid. Following dispersal of volunteers, ndcvre suspended its major distribution activities in may 2024.
