Indian River Clay Inc

Indian river clay has a mission to enlighten and enrich our community through our outreach programs. We partner with other organizations and non-profits in our area to offer art opportunities to children, seniors, and veterans. Our members and instructors coordinate and execute our outreach projects, have the opportunity to create programs for children and adults, and volunteer their time during the projects.in partnership with the samaritan center, a local charity providing transitional housing to homeless families, indian river clay manages the production of all soup bowls for the center's annual fundraising event, now in its 32nd year. Indian river clay began its partnership with the center in 2018 and in 2024, indian river clay volunteers contributed over 3,000 hours to hand make 1,200 bowls. In 2024, indian river clay sold studio seconds to raise funds which were used to support youth guidance, united way, treasure coast food bank, laura riding jackson foundation, treasure coast hospice foundation, ocean research and conservation association, and craft emergency relief fund. Since 2020, indian river clay has partnered with vero beach's community one initiative to support the internationally acclaimed butterfly project whose goal it is to teach children social justice while remembering the 1.5 million children killed in the holocaust. Indian river clay volunteers have made well over two thousand butterflies for local children to decorate and display in our community.

Indian river clay provides studio space and kilns for member artists to explore their creativity with works of clay art. Member artists can offer their creations for sale to the public at community events held at the studio and other locations.
