Mission
The mission of irhs is to improve the animal welfare by ensuring the humane care and treatment of animals in king william, essex and king & queen county.
Programs

Low cost spay/neuter program: irhs assisted with the sterilization of 524 companion/feral cats. This includes the 62 adopted cats and 14 puppies.
Education: irhs distributed several educational materials through social media platforms, and local events. These materials give advice on how to acclimate an adopted animal to a new home, safely care for felines and canine animals, and urge the community to help keep down the over population by having animals spayed or neutered
