LEADERSHIPILI's leadership development programming focuses on identifying, supporting, and connecting Latino Hoosier leaders through widespread recognition and by facilitating access and to high-level individuals and spaces. The ILI's Leadership Circle is an annual, year-long commitment that incorporates a multi-pronged approach to bringing young, emerging Latinos front and center, both within the Latino community as well as within the larger community. Through individualized mentoring, networking and leadership development opportunities and think tank sessions based on issues of importance, these talented young leaders will have a unique opportunity to learn from established Latino community members as well as gain valuable skills that will focus on their own empowerment. The Leadership Circle is committed to identifying, mentoring, and connecting young, emerging Latino leaders, ideally aged 29-40, to ensure that the growing community has ready and willing leaders who are prepared for the challenges that lie ahead. Each year, a small group of exemplary emerging Indiana Latinos will participate in this bold new initiative. Those selected will be invited into this exclusive Leadership development series and will make a year-long commitment to fulfilling all requirements of this coveted personal and professional development opportunity through the following paths:1. High Profile Mentorship2. Empowerment Opportunities3. Focused Leadership Training4. Civic Engagement5. Strategic Networking6. Think Tank Breakout Sessions7. Community Service Opportunities

SYSTEM CHANGEThe Indiana Latino Institute empowers Latinos to use their collective voice to create "system change" through education. ILI provides data dissemination to provide definitive and necessary research. Our advocacy efforts strive to form and deliver a Latino perspective that serves as a solid voice on issues of importance for our community.Through our education and advocacy efforts, ILI is positioned to be the leader in all issues impacting Latino communities throughout Indiana. Community empowerment and success begins with developing a well-articulated voice, and our advocacy efforts strive to form and deliver a Latino perspective that serves as a solid voice on issues of importance for our community. ILI will advocate for all issues impacting Latino Hoosiers. This work is not limited to Health and Education, but also on topics such as Immigration, Economic Development and Public Safety. While we work diligently to develop our advocacy efforts on all issues of importance, our strategic objectives include the following:a. ILI serves as a convener of Latino networks and organizations statewide.b. ILI educates community leaders and government officials on issues of importance to the Indiana Latino communities.c. ILI strives to educate community members on issues of importance to the Latino community (education, health, immigration, and economic development)
