Isa provides consumer information, industry information, and producer communications programs under the federal sparc act and order. As the qualified state soybean board (qssb) for indiana, isa also maintains a membership and policy committee composed of dues-paying members who may engage in lobbying on issues affecting soybean farmers. Revenue and expenses related to lobbying activities are fully segregated from checkoff funds, as checkoff dollars may not be used for lobbying purposes.

Sustainability: effective work in sustainability is grounded in environmental, economic and community outreach programming. This is accomplished by funding projects with the following objectives: increase farmer adoption of improved nutrient and soil health systems. Through community partnerships, strengthen consumer's trust in farmers by highlighting shared economic, environmental and social values. Invest in research that helps farmers produce soybeans more economically.

Value creation: the goal of value creation is to increase the value of indiana soybeans by bringing new food and industrial uses to market through partnerships and research in order to: increase the number of soybean-based industrial projects in the market. Increase the number of foods with soybean ingredients in the market.

Producer engagement: meaningful engagement with indiana's 20,000+ soybean farmers and giving back to farm communities with the following objectives: increase understanding of the return of checkoff programs back to the farm. Provide valuable information or resources with indiana farm communities.
