The mission of Indianapolis Opera is to educate, inspire and entertain through the creation and presentation of musical storytelling for the Hoosier community.

Programs

Indianapolis Opera's Resident Artists performed across the state of Indiana with 10,263 viewers during 2023-2024. Comprised of 11 Resident Artists, emerging artists (nine singers and two pianists for Fall and Spring semesters), and as well as 20 additional outreach artists engaged throughout the year, the Resident Artists perform in person with a children's opera for elementary students, a vocal workshop for middle and high school students, and a revue-style recital program for college students, adults, and senior citizens in schools, community centers, and retirement homes.
