The city of indianapolis and employindy utilize american rescue plan act funding to develop project which integrated workforce development initiative aims to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers by creating accessible pathways to good and promising employment opportunities. Through strategic partnerships between employindy and ascend indiana, the initiative addresses both supply and demand sides of the labor market. The ultimate benefit is a more equitable and effective workforce ecosystem that helps central indiana residents - particularly those from underrepresented and pandemic-impacted communities - develop needed skills, navigate career opportunities, and secure good jobs while simultaneously addressing employers' talent needs and strengthening the regional economy.

The indy achieves program helps marion county students pursue and complete postsecondary education. It aims to improve the lives of marion county students by providing scholarships, grants, and supportive services designed to increase college completion rates. Between july 1, 2023 and june 30, 2024, over 2,220 scholars received student success coaching and support.

Other grants received from the federal, state, and local government as well as private foundations. Grants are utilized to further the organization's strategic initiatives include career-connected learning, coaching and training, talent connection, and good jobs. These interventions aim to prepare students for success in the 21st-century economy, assist workers in finding employment, and improve job quality and wage equity for businesses.
