The annual information security summit, hosted by issa-la, was an educational experience for information security professionals, universities, businesses and information technology professionals in southern california. This prestigious event brought together leading experts and thought leaders from across various sectors, including intelligence, education, law enforcement, retail, government, healthcare, finance, and technology. The summit focused on the latest trends and strategies in cybersecurity and technology, giving attendees the knowledge to tackle ever-evolving security and business threats. They gained valuable insights into defending critical infrastructure, forging international partnerships, and much more. With 250 registrants, the 2-day event was a great success.

Community outreach:issa-la's mission is to be the premier catalyst and information source in the southern california community, helping businesses and education to learn and improve the practice of information security. This is accomplished many ways: facilitate classes and talks pertaining to information security facilitate the open exchange of ideas and knowledge sharing outreach to k-12 schools, colleges, and universities to include information security in their curriculum support students studying information systems to join the information security community and assist them with career and internship opportunities promote diversity initiatives to help minorities progress in the information security workforce to increase the number of skilled cybersecurity professionals helping to keep our nation secure collaborate with other not-for-profit organizations and foundations
