Mission

To empower youth with the social emotional skills needed for positive mental health, self-sufficiency and to be leaders in their lives, future jobs and community. Our mission is to empower youth to live each day with good character and our vision is that they will make the world a better place.

Programs

4 programs

Pre-K - 5th Events: (18-20 one-hour events offered individually throughout the year) These events are designed for families with children ages 3-12, are led by trained volunteers or IOCD staff and are hosted at a variety of community locations, often on weekends. (45-60 minutes each; $15 per child/ adults free). Last year 432 participants took part in these events.

Business Designers 4 Good - middle school program to empower students to develop skills in entrepreneurship, leadership, social responsibility and emotional intelligence. Offered after school as well as a summer camp version. Last year IOC had 57 participants.

Expenses: $35KGrants: $10K

SkillsBox10 is an new program for high schoolers designed to help them unlock ten critical life skills through the experience of putting on an authentic event. This program was piloted in June 2025 with great success. Seven students from five high schools took part and reported a 41% gain in confidence when making phone calls, 29% confidence in meeting new people and overall growth in the ten core skills.

Summer programming through partnerships. IOC provides lessons to campers at the Naperville YMCA, Naperville Park District and the Glen Ellyn Park District. This year IOC offered a kindness camp for kids ages 4-16 as part of their camp offerings. In total more than 1,500 hours of Inside Out Club activities occur in the summer. Additionally, during the year IOC provides collaborative character-building projects/activities to local schools. Both of these are summarized below.
