ISKME's mission is to make learning and knowledge-sharing participatory, equitable and open.

Research - ISKME's research and evaluation fuel the core of its work, bringing cutting edge contributions to the field of knowledge management in education, with an interdisciplinary team of social scientists. ISKME conducts evidence-based applied research to develop new knowledge and frameworks that support education stakeholders in the areas of collaboration and design, information use, open education practices, education policy, organizational leadership, student success and pedagogical practices.
OER Platform Development - ISKME continuously innovates and develops new technical infrastructure to support its open knowledge networks and digital public libraries.
Training and Design - ISKME offers professional learning opportunities for educators, librarians, and administrators in K-12 and Higher Education organizations. This includes face to face and virtual workshops, OER Fellowship programs, and Action Collab workshops that use a design-thinking framework to create and accelerate meaningul collaboration and change in the education sector.
Open Knowledge Network Services - ISKME provides curation and metadata services and tools as well as open educational resource hubs for educational organizations and institutions.
