The institute for work & the economy is an independent, non-partisan, public policy collaborative under the direction of a diverse board. The mission is to serve as a conduit for innovative workforce strategies and policies that foster economic security, equity, and opportunity for all workers.in 2024: supported the development & implementation of the soybean innovation center under the illinois soybean association. A member of the committee on diversity, equity, & inclusion of the illinois workforce innovations board. A member of the regional economy committee of the chicago metropolitan agency for planning. An affiliate member of the illinois innovation network of the illinois universities, evaluator of abe-linc, a federally funded program providing training support to low-wealth communities receiving broadband services, initiated a project on the responsible uses & development of ai in work.
