The IAIA MoCNA will build and expand its Social Engagement A1i Residency. In its fifth year, this residency seeks discourse driven Native artists to submit proposals, which outline and identify a social engagement project. The funds will support two Native artists in residence over a 10-day period for one year. The artists will engage in art collaborative projects creating new work with the support of IAIA, MoCNA and the Santa Fe community at-large. This residency serves as stimulus for Native American artists to generate community dialogue and dynamic experiences, transforming a community into a hub for positive social change that reflects the needs of the community, the institution, and artists.
