To promote the internal auditing profession and provide educational opportunities

(6) Supported academic advancement of the internal audit profession by awarding students scholarships totaling $10,000 and contributed $3,500 toward The Institute of Internal Auditors foundation.
(5) Achieved Sapphire chapter achievement status (25 consecutive years of gold status chapter health) continued to offer programming, promote and encourage IIA certifications, advocate for the IIA and the profession, and maintained a strong chapter membership
(4) Initiated the beginning of an annual joint monthly meeting with the ACFE Southeastern Chapter of Michigan. The first meeting will be held in November 2024.
(2) Improved our succession plan by beginning to document committee procedures and identifying leadership for the next 2 Chapter Years
(3) Maintained approximately 900 members, representing over 100 companies/organizations. Detroit continues to be one of the largest IIA chapters in the United States.
