Intempo's mission is to close the achievement gap by making music education accessible, relevant, and inclusive, and to enable students to leverage the skills they gain through engaging in the arts to improve their educational, social, and personal outcomes.

Summer music camp is a one-week music-instruction and enrichment program that serves aproximately 35-80 children. Children are taught to play the violin, viola, guitar, and charango as well as how to sing choral music. The program offers enrichment activities and field trips.

Public schools is a program contracted by stamford and norwalk public schools to provide enrichment opportunities during summer camp. Intempo increased its services and began a 6-week after-school academic year programming serving eight schools in norwalk and stamford. Intempo also offers a two- hour professional development workshop model for all music school teachers.

Esl (english as a second language) is a program that sends intempo's teaching artists and language teachers into title-1 public schools in norwalk and stamford. The program aims to accelerate the student's language acquisition through an innovative curriculum that utilizes instrumental music, singing, and language.
