Ispf was organized for charitable and educational purposes. Ispf itself does not raise funds but is a holding corporation for the monies raised by approved special projects.

Programs

2 programs

Tech trek is a residential or virtual science and math camp for girls who have finished 7th grade. Campers must be recommended by their science or math teachers, complete an application form, and attend an interview. In-person camps are held on college campuses. Thirty eight (38) girls participated in the in-person camp this year,at santa clara univ or uc santa cruz. Money already allocated to tech trek in previous years was applied this year.

Expenses: $67K

Community services - several projects have helped hundreds of local low-income women and children. Gift bags were given to 806 low-income teenagers; assistance was provided to several homeless shelters and emergency food providers; thanksgiving dinner and monthly lunches were given to many homeless women; supplies were provided for organizations helping the homeless; and recreation and refreshments were provided at residential facilities for the mentally disabled. Financial assistance was provided for several comminity programs addressing literacy and educacional needs.
