Work & travel usa - the organization provided and facilitates placements for international university students in entry-level seasonal and temporary jobs in hotels, inns, amusement parks and restaurants in resort areas throughout the united states. The placements also included accommodations for the participants. The program services include a selection process including personal interviews with all students, pre-departure as well as arrival orientations, and program support and monitoring. Through these and subsequent optional travel experiences, students get a closer look at the life in america and improve their english language skills. Their experiences can last a lifetime and help shape their future goals and world outlook.

Camp usa - this camp counselor program placed international camp counselors and support staff with a genuine interest in children in summer camps throughout the united states to supervise and support groups of american youth for an 8-10 week period. Counselors also experience the local culture and the beauty of america's great outdoors. The program services also include an intensive selection process including personal interviews with participants, pre-departure as well as arrival orientations and program suppport and supervision.

Career training and interns usa - this practical training and intern program is designed for young professionals, recent graduates and international university students who have already chosen their career path and now require practical training in their field for up to 18 months. The organization facilitated the placement of participants in training and intern positions with large corporations, small businesses, non-profit organizations, universities, resorts, hotels and cultural institutions in a large range of occupational categories. Many participants prefer to arrange their own placements that can cover an even wider range of occupations. In addition to program administration, the program services include an intensive application and review process, program support and monitoring. As with our other programs, this program provides participants valuable intercultural experiences.

Working abroad - the organization facilitated opportunities for young americans seeking international live and work experiences in structured and supported exchange programs. Placements included teaching english in spain, france, ghana and china, volunteer opportunities in peru, india, ghana, and costa rica, au pairing in france, spain, the netherlands, australia and new zealand, and working and traveling in australia and new zealand. Aside from the administrative services provided, the organization included selection and orientation of the participants and also post-program evaluations.

Foundation - the organization provided grant opportunities for young americans who wish to help further cultural awareness through meaningful work and life experiential programs outside the usa. The interexchange foundation offers two grant options, the working abroad grant and christianson grant. Each grant is unique, but the intention of both grant awards is to defray the costs of transportation, participation fees, travel insurance, housing and meals related to a work, internship, or volunteer abroad program. Recipients are selected based on intent with preferences toward those with limited or no previous international travel experience, and those going on longer programs.
