This local is dedicated to the principles of trade unionism. Its objects are to unite all workers within its jurisdiction for the following purposes:(a)to improve their wages and hours of work, to increase their job security and to better their working conditions.(b)to advance their economic, social and cultural interests.(c)to utilize any and all effective means to protect and continuously improve working and living standards of workers; to eliminate unfair or oppressive rules, unsafe or unhealthy living and working conditions or oppression or discrimination of any kind and to further their interests in all concerted activities for their mutual aid or protection.(d)to promote and support free trade unionism and the institutions of democracy everywhere.(e)to promote the effective use of the union label in all areas of industry, trade and commerce; to protect and preserve the union as an institution and to perform its legal and contractual obligations.(f)to support and participate in pr
